Key selection criteria
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience managing social media channels for an organisation or brand
- Proven ability to create content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok (or other short-form video platforms)
- Experience producing and editing photo and/or video content for social media
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to write engaging, platform-appropriate copy
- Understanding of social media analytics and the ability to use data to inform content decisions
- Understanding of brand voice with the ability to adapt content across different brands and audiences.
Desirable:
- Experience in a student, university, not-for-profit or membership-based organisation
- Experience managing social media for multiple brands or accounts simultaneously
- Experience using social media scheduling and management tools
- Experience with paid social media advertising, including campaign setup and performance monitoring
- Experience launching a new social media channel from scratch
- Experience managing or coordinating a volunteer, ambassador or community creator program.
