Digital Designer (UX & UI)

Job Description

We are looking for an ambitious and talented Digital Designer to join our Adelaide-based team. As a Digital Designer, you will collaborate with the creative and digital teams to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for a variety of digital platforms. Your expertise in user experience (UX) design, visual design, and interaction design will be crucial in crafting engaging experiences that align with our client’s goals. 
 

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients, project managers, creatives and developers to understand project requirements and translate them into intuitive and visually appealing interface designs
• Conduct thorough research on target audiences, user behaviours, and industry trends to inform design decisions and optimise user experiences 
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mock-ups to demonstrate design concepts and gather feedback from clients
• Apply best practices in user-centred design to enhance usability and accessibility of interfaces, while considering technical constraints and requirements
• Collaborate with developers to ensure smooth implementation of designs, providing necessary design assets and specifications
• Adhere to project timelines and deliver high-quality designs within designated deadlines
   

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a Digital Designer or similar role, preferably within a creative agency or design studio
• A well-considered portfolio showcasing your experience in user interface design and demonstrating a deep understanding of design principles and best practices
• Proficiency in Figma (first and foremost) with experience in other tools valued
• Solid understanding of user-centered design methodologies and usability principles
• Knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their impact on Interface Design
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate design concepts and rationale to clients and team members
• Strong attention to detail and ability to balance creativity with functionality
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
