Developer – Java 

Job Description

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Newgen Developer to design, develop, and support business process automation and enterprise content management solutions using the Newgen platform. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Newgen iBPS/OmniFlow, OmniDocs, workflow development, integrations, and Java-based technologies. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient digital transformation solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

– Design, develop, configure, and implement workflow applications using Newgen iBPS/OmniFlow.

– Develop and customize forms, workflows, business rules, queues, and process definitions.

– Configure and manage document management solutions using Newgen OmniDocs.

– Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical designs and functional solutions.

– Develop integrations with internal and external applications using REST/SOAP APIs, Java, and database technologies.

– Create reusable components and custom modules to enhance platform capabilities.

– Perform unit testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization.

– Support deployment activities across development, testing, UAT, and production environments.

– Prepare technical documentation, deployment guides, and support manuals.

– Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, project managers, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

– Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

– 3 to 6 years of experience in Newgen application development.

– Strong experience with :

1. Newgen iBPS / OmniFlow

2. Newgen OmniDocs

3. Newgen iForms

4. Workflow and BPM development

– Proficiency in Java/J2EE technologies.

– Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSP, and Servlets.

– Strong knowledge of REST and SOAP web services.

– Hands-on experience with Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL databases.

– Good understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and version control systems.

– Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills :

– Newgen certifications (iBPS, OmniDocs, OmniFlow).

– Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or Digital Transformation projects.

– Exposure to application servers such as Tomcat, WebLogic, or WebSphere.

– Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

– Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.

– Understanding of enterprise integration patterns and microservices architecture.
