Software Engineer

Job Description

Role Description This is a full-time, The Software Engineer will design, implement, and maintain core services and infrastructure that power Viggle’s AI video platform. Day-to-day work will include building backend systems and APIs, optimizing performance and scalability, and integrating with machine learning pipelines. The role will also involve writing clean, testable code, reviewing peer code, and contributing to technical design discussions. The Software Engineer will collaborate closely with researchers, product managers, and other engineers to ship reliable features, improve development workflows, and support experimentation in AI video generation.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented or functional programming.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language commonly used in backend or systems development (e.g., Python, Go, Rust, Java, or C++).
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining distributed systems, microservices, or cloud-based applications (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Comfort working with APIs, databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), and related tooling for performance monitoring, logging, and debugging.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control (e.g., Git) to support reliable, iterative development.
• Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional environment, communicate technical concepts clearly, and document designs and implementations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Nice to have: experience with machine learning or deep learning workflows, real-time media or video processing, GPU-based computing, or prior work on high-performance systems.
