Power BI Developer

Job Description

Description :

– 5-10 years of experience in developing and implementing BI solutions using Power BI.

– Strong proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power Query (M language).

– Solid understanding of data modeling, DAX calculations and building efficient semantic models.

– Experience in connecting Power BI to multiple data sources (SQL Server, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, APIs, Excel).

– Ability to develop interactive dashboards and reports aligned with business KPIs.

– Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for large datasets and DirectQuery/Import modes.

– Familiarity with Azure services (Data Factory, Synapse) and/or AWS for data integration is a plus.

– Understanding of row-level security (RLS) and workspace governance.

– Microsoft Power BI certification or equivalent preferred.

– Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities :

– Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business requirements.

– Create optimized data models and implement DAX measures for accurate and efficient reporting.

– Integrate Power BI with various data sources, ensuring data accuracy and refresh reliability.

– Apply best practices for performance tuning, including aggregations and query optimization.

– Implement security measures such as RLS and manage workspace permissions.

– Collaborate with business analysts and data engineers to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.

– Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data models, refresh schedules, and report performance.

– Document solutions and provide user training for self-service BI adoption.

– Stay updated on new Power BI features and enhancements to improve solution capabilities.
