Data Engineering Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced Data Engineer (AM Level) to lead enterprise-scale data engineering initiatives. The role involves designing modern data architectures, building scalable pipelines, and driving cloud-based data platform solutions across business intelligence, analytics, and AI use cases.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical leadership along with hands-on expertise in cloud, big data, and data platform modernization.

Key Responsibilities :

– Design and implement scalable data architectures across cloud and hybrid environments

– Build and optimize ETL and ELT pipelines for large-scale data processing

– Lead data platform modernization using advanced tools and frameworks

– Implement real-time and batch data processing architectures

– Define and enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards

– Collaborate with Data Science, BI, and Product teams

– Implement DataOps and DevOps practices for automation and monitoring

– Mentor and guide data engineering teams

– Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions

– Develop REST APIs and Azure-based data services where required

Required Skills :
– 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Architecture

– Strong expertise in Python, SQL, Spark, Kafka, and Airflow

– Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

– Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or Delta Lake

– Strong knowledge of data modelling, governance, and lineage tools

– Experience designing scalable data pipelines and architectures

– Strong leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving skills

Good to Have :

– Experience with C#, .NET Core, and Azure PaaS

– Knowledge of Azure Integration Services and API development

– Exposure to cloud security best practices

– Understanding of design patterns and Agile practices
