Senior Test Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Analyst to join an agile delivery team within a government regulatory environment. This role will support a newly established program of work focused on enhancing regulatory business systems, including but not limited to case management and investigation platforms, as well as ongoing BAU testing activities.
You will work across multiple initiatives concurrently, contributing to the planning, execution, and reporting of testing activities in a fast‑paced and evolving environment.

Your new role

• Participate as a tester within a cross-functional agile team
• Plan and execute testing for new systems, enhancements, and upgrades
• Prepare test scopes and test plans in collaboration with the Test Manager.
• Liaise with business analysts, designers, and developers to define test criteria
• Execute functional and non-functional testing using appropriate test management tools
• Coordinate testing with internal teams and clearly communicate outcomes, risks, and issues
• Log, track, and manage defects in a consistent and structured manner.
• Manage multiple testing priorities and deliver outcomes within agreed timelines
• Build effective working relationships with business users and technical teams
• Maintain currency with testing practices to ensure high-quality and efficient testing delivery

What you’ll need to succeed

• MUST be Baseline cleared or must have the ability to obtain it (AU Citizens only)
• Experience with both functional and non-functional testing.
• Demonstrated testing experience across various test types, including System, Acceptance, and Regression testing.
• Strong experience with test planning, execution, defect management and reporting.
• Demonstrated experience with test management tools.
• Experience with testing applications for cross-browser and device issues.
• Experience with automating manual end-to-end regression test scripts through either a testing framework or codeless automation.
