AI Engineer

Job Description

This role sits within the foundational AI team, focusing on creating responsible and reliable systems that deliver real-time, personalised experiences to millions of customers. You will work at the forefront of enterprise AI, building scalable, high-performance infrastructure and breakthrough product experiences.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Partner with cross-functional teams of engineers, research scientists, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products.
• Design, develop, and support AI software components including foundation model training and large language model inference.
• Leverage a broad stack of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies such as AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, and VectorDBs.
• Invent and introduce state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques to improve system scalability, cost, and latency.
• Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of foundational AI systems across the organisation.
  

What We’re Looking For

• Strong foundation in engineering and mathematics with expertise in hardware and software optimization.
• Experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies in a production environment.
• Ability to intuitively understand scientific publications and judiciously apply novel techniques to solve business problems.
• Proven track record of bringing clarity to undefined problems and articulating technical findings concisely.
