Security Engineer

Your new role

As an Information Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating security controls that protect critical information assets. Acting as a technical specialist within the cyber security function, you’ll partner closely with IT, cloud, architecture, and engineering teams to embed security across infrastructure, platforms, and applications. This role is both strategic and hands-on, covering security architecture, incident response, threat management, and continuous improvement to ensure the organisation remains resilient against evolving cyber threats.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Proven experience in information or cyber security engineering roles, ideally within large or complex environments
• Strong expertise across security technologies such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, IAM, PAM, DLP, vulnerability management and encryption
• Experience designing and securing cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS)
• Solid understanding of security frameworks and regulations such as ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS and government security standards
• Hands-on incident response, threat detection, and risk management experience
• Ability to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
