Full Stack Backend Developer 

Job Description

The Role

We are hiring a Senior Full Stack Backend Developer to lead the integration and orchestration of enterprise systems into the Plattar platform.

Your core responsibility is to take existing technology stacks ecommerce platforms, ERP systems, PIMs, pricing engines, RPC services, and product databases and integrate them seamlessly into Plattar’s 3D commerce infrastructure.

You are not building isolated features. You are building the connective layer that allows Plattar to operate as the intelligent commerce engine sitting across enterprise systems.

What You Will Own

1. Commerce System Integrations

• Integrate ecommerce platforms (e.g. Shopify, Magento, custom stacks)
• Connect ERP systems (inventory, fulfilment, product master data)
• Implement pricing logic integration (dynamic pricing, regional rules, trade pricing)
• Sync SKU, variant, and catalogue data pipelines
• Build scalable middleware to orchestrate cross-system communication

2. Backend Architecture & API Orchestration

• Design and maintain scalable backend services
• Build REST APIs for product intelligence and configurator logic
• Develop webhook-based and event-driven integrations
• Handle real-time data sync between Plattar and third-party systems

3. Product Data & Configuration Logic Layer

• Transform raw ERP/product data into structured configuration logic
• Automate SKU mapping and variant handling
• Implement rules engines for product compatibility and constraints
• Ensure data integrity across distributed systems

4. Full Stack Contribution

While backend-focused, you will also:

• Support frontend integration (TypeScript, React-based UI components)
• Connect backend services into WebGL/3D configurator pipelines
• Ensure API performance for real-time 3D product rendering

5. Scalability & Performance

• Build systems capable of supporting enterprise product catalogues
• Optimise database architecture and caching layers
• Improve system reliability, logging, and monitoring
• Reduce manual operational overhead through automation

What We Are Looking For

Core Technical Skills

• Strong backend development experience (Node.js, TypeScript, Python or similar)
• Experience integrating ecommerce and ERP systems
• API orchestration and middleware development expertise
• Experience working with distributed systems and microservices

Strong Advantage

• Experience with Shopify, Magento, or headless commerce
• ERP integrations (NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or similar)
• Experience with RPC frameworks or service-to-service communication
• Familiarity with 3D/WebGL pipelines
• Database design experience (SQL + NoSQL)
• Understanding of pricing engines and SKU logic structures
• Experience in SaaS or platform-scale products
