Junior Dev Support Engineer

Job Description

 A passion for DevOps practices and familiarity with AI tools for troubleshooting is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Support developers with day-to-day technical and operational needs
• Contribute to bug fixes, small feature enhancements, and code improvements
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate on development tasks
• Assist with deployments, releases, and environment configuration
• Investigate logs, alerts, and production issues
• Perform basic data checks, validation, and corrections
• Help monitor system health and stability
• Use AI tools including application development, diagnose and troubleshoot issues, scripting, fixes, and operational improvements
• Maintain and improve simple runbooks and documentation
• Escalate issues appropriately and assist with root-cause analysis
• Contribute to improving operational processes and reliability over time

Key Technical Skills & Experience

• Background or qualification in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience Linux-based systems
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS preferred)
• Exposure to AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, EKS, CloudWatch)
• Ability to read and interpret logs, scripts, and configuration files
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in coding language (Python, Bash, or similar)
• Interest in DevOps, platform engineering, or system reliability
• Comfort using AI tools to assist learning and problem-solving
