Software Engineer – Networking System Development

Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

– Design, develop, and optimize networking software components, protocols, and systems.

– Build scalable and high-performance applications for data communication and network management.

– Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, system architects, and QA teams to deliver robust solutions.

– Develop and maintain APIs, libraries, and services related to networking functionality.

– Troubleshoot and debug complex network-related issues across distributed systems.

– Contribute to system architecture decisions and performance optimization strategies.

– Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure high-quality deliverables.

– Stay updated with emerging networking technologies, tools, and industry trends.

Required Skills and Qualifications :– Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

– Strong programming skills in languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.

– Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, routing, switching).

– Experience with socket programming and network protocol development.

– Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and network stack internals.

– Knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, and distributed systems.

– Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

– Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications :– Experience with cloud networking, SDN (Software-Defined Networking), or NFV (Network Functions Virtualization).

– Exposure to network security concepts such as firewalls, VPNs, and encryption.

– Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

– Experience with performance tuning and system optimization.

– Knowledge of automation and scripting tools.
