Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Data collection: Gather data from various sources, including databases, APIs and external datasets. Develop & Main data pipelines to ensure a steady flow of data
  • Data cleaning and Pre-processing: Clean, pre-process and validate data to ensure its accuracy and reliability. Handle missing data, outliers, and inconsistencies effectively
  • Data Analysis: Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Conduct statistical analysis to derive meaningful conclusions
  • Reporting: Generate regular reports and ad-hoc analyses for stakeholders. Present findings and insights through charts, graphs and dashboards to technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner
  • Data Quality Assurance: Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure data integrity. Monitor data pipelines for consistency and accuracy
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data engineers and decision-makers to understand data requirements and deliver insights
  • Continuous learning: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analysis and Python

Requirements

Selection Criteria:

Essential

  • Proven experience of 3 years as a Data Analyst with a core focus on Python
  • Proficiency in Python programming for data analysis tasks (Pandas, NumPy, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of SQL for querying and manipulating databases
  • Familiarity with data visualization libraries such as Matplotlib or Seaborn
  • Experience working within a SCRUM or SAFE agile team
  • Experience working within Jira and confluence
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex findings in a clear and understandable manner
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a relevant quantitative discipline

Desirable

  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Exposure to machine learning concepts and tools
  • Prior experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and ETL processes
  • Experience working in a consulting firm or with large enterprise clients
