Software Development Engineer – (Java, Python, JavaScript)

Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Software Development Engineer for Automation designs and develops scalable automation frameworks and tools that support web and API testing. This role applies strong software engineering practices to modernize automation infrastructure and improve testing efficiency while collaborating closely with QA, Development, and DevOps teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Design and maintain scalable test automation frameworks.

·        Develop reusable libraries and tools for automation infrastructure.

·        Improve automation execution, reliability, and reporting.

·        Collaborate with QA, Development, and DevOps teams to enhance testing processes.

·        Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.

·        Evaluate and implement new automation technologies and tools.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in software development with QA.
• Strong programming experience in Python, Java, and JavaScript
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., UI, API, or performance testing)
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, including test design, test strategies, and quality practices
• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms is a plus
• Experience in building or maintaining automation frameworks is highly preferred
• Background in eCommerce or large-scale systems is a plus
