Cloud Architect – Microsoft Azure

Job Description

Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced Multi-Cloud Lead with deep expertise in designing and implementing cloud landing zones, particularly on Microsoft Azure, along with strong working knowledge of AWS. This role involves leading cloud architecture initiatives, driving cost optimization strategies, and mentoring a team of cloud engineers to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

– Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale Azure Landing Zones aligned with best practices (CAF, governance, security, networking, identity).

– Architect and manage multi-cloud environments across Azure and AWS.

– Define and implement cloud governance frameworks, including policies, RBAC, tagging strategies, and compliance controls.

– Drive cost optimization initiatives across cloud platforms using native and third-party tools.

– Design scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures for enterprise workloads.

– Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers, fostering technical growth and best practices.

– Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Security, Application teams) for cloud adoption and migration strategies.

– Establish and enforce infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation.

– Oversee cloud migration, modernization, and optimization programs.

– Stay updated with emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

8+ years of overall IT experience with at least :

– 4+ years in Azure architecture and landing zone design

– 2+ years working with AWS environments

– Strong hands-on experience with :

1. Azure Landing Zone architecture (CAF, management groups, subscriptions, policies)

2. AWS core services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, etc.)

– Expertise in cloud cost management and optimization strategies

– Solid understanding of :

1. Networking (VNet/VPC design, hybrid connectivity, DNS)

2. Identity & Access Management (Azure AD, IAM)

3. Security & compliance frameworks

– Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform preferred)

– Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

– Proven experience in team leadership and mentoring

– Strong problem-solving and communication skills
