Computer Vision Software Engineer

Job Description

• The environment is fast-paced and requires cross-functional interactions on a daily basis, so good communication, planning and execution skills are a must.
  • • Machine learning, Image processing and computer vision knowledge or API/SDK development experience
    • Operating system knowledge and computer architecture related project experience
    • Solid hands-on software design and development experience on complex embedded computing platforms.
    • Strong programming experience in C/C++/Python/STL, as well as hands-on experience debugging complex embedded software and with version-based tools.
    • Ability to contribute to all phases of software development – bring-up, design, deployment, and customer support.
    • Demonstrated ability to work with engineers, partners and customers, and across the different geographical sites and technology domains (Software/firmware/hardware).
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience in embedded system software development including kernels, device drivers and board-support packages is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Skills/experience: 2+ years’ experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Python, etc., 3+ years Software Engineering or related work experience
• Responsibilities: Design and implementation of vision and image processing API/pipelines on Qualcomm SoCs and platforms, closely collaborate with cross-functional teams (SW/FW/HW) and domain/technology experts to understand and define specifications, and serve as feature owner for software design/implementation/commercialization, and integrate/validate software in a larger system. Actively engage with internal clients (Camera/Video/XR technology areas), OEMs, Tier-1s and ISVs to implement solutions based on of Qualcomm Computer Vision offerings.
• Education requirements: Bachelors/Masters – Computer Science, Bachelors/Masters – Engineering
