Job Description

Role Overview:
The ICT Helpdesk Technician will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting IT issues, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of our IT systems.

Key Duties::

• Highly skilled individual who will research, analyse, develop and deploy network infrastructure that will support the growth of the organisation, and our clientele.
• Assessing software and hardware needs to develop effective solutions to challenges.
• Superb technical competency and highly innovative, the Computer Network and Systems Engineer will work closely with the CEO and leaders to develop network architecture that aligns with the business’s overall strategic plan and global direction.
• Undertake an ongoing assessment to refine and improve IT network, systems, policies and procedures already in place.
• Evaluate and monitor IT network infrastructure to ensure networks are performing at an optimal level.
• Preparing and maintaining procedures and documentation for network inventory.
• Monitoring network traffic, hardware and software to ensure continued integrity and usability.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Associate Degree in Information Technology
• At least 12 months of relevant experience
• Previous experience working in both Helpdesk and Desktop Support roles is a must – Provide specialist skills in supporting and troubleshooting network problems and general IT emergencies.
• A solid knowledge of Apple and PC hardware and software – NAS, Apple Server, Windows Server, Apple Desktop and Windows desktops, LDAP, Active Directory, Office 365, hardware peripherals (printers, laptops, etc);
• Excellent communications skills (both written and spoken)
• A strong customer service focus – who works well under pressure.
• A willingness and the drive to work in a dual role, covering both levels 1 and 2 support
• Previous experience writing/contributing to technical documentation for the knowledge base Network Knowledge, TCP/IP, VPN IPSEC, Routers and Switches.
