Cyber Security Specialist

Job Description

What you’ll do

• Develop, design and implement cyber security standards and controls
• Monitor and report on security events and incidents
• Administer modern internet, cloud and data security practices
• Provide advice and analysis on complex cyber risks
• Develop ICT processes aligned with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, ITIL and PCI
• Lead incident response, including investigations and reporting
• Analyse patterns, trends and vulnerabilities to strengthen our defences
• Support ICT risk frameworks, tools and decision‑making; and
• Provide ICT helpdesk support when needed

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

• Have a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics (or similar)
• Hold CISSO, CISSP or CISM certification
• Bring 5–10 years of experience in cyber security or ICT security
• Have experience with network administration
• Know Microsoft Security tools (Defender, Sentinel, Intune)
• Are comfortable working across Linux and Windows environments
• Have a solid understanding of key security standards such as ISO 27001, Essential Eight and NIST
• Can communicate clearly and respectfully — even when things get technical
• Work well independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Meet compliance requirements, including a satisfactory National Coordinated Criminal History Check (or consent to acquire one).
