Application Architect (Software Architect)

Your new role

As the Senior Application Architect – Azure, you will lead end ‑ to ‑ end application ‑ modernisation initiatives across Azure PaaS environments. You’ll partner with delivery teams, stakeholders and technical specialists to design, migrate and optimise applications in line with modern engineering and architectural standards. This role combines hands ‑ on technical depth with architectural leadership, governance and solution design across multiple concurrent streams.

What you’ll need to succeed

Extensive hands ‑ on experience in modern application development using C#, .NET, Java, NodeJS or Python

Proven capability designing and delivering solutions using Azure PaaS services (App Service, Azure Functions, AKS, Container Instances)

Strong background in containerisation technologies including Docker and Kubernetes

Deep understanding of application, integration and database migration patterns

Skilled in database configuration, connectivity and performance tuning

Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across applications, integrations and cloud infrastructure

Experience supporting and hosting containerised applications on Kubernetes

Confident preparing and presenting solution designs to technical and non ‑ technical stakeholders

Effective leadership skills and experience guiding teams of developers or engineers

A collaborative, outcome ‑ focused approach with strong communication skills

Australian Citizenship with the ability to hold NV1/NV2 clearance (mandatory)
