Your new role

As a Senior Data Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role within the Digital Insurer Program, acting as the bridge between business needs and technical data solutions. You’ll work across multiple squads to support core delivery for the Pricing Foundation Layer (PFL), Source‑to‑Target (S2T) mappings (including complex join conditions), and key data flows underpinning policy, risk and premium outcomes.
This role has become available following the resignation of a key Data Tech BA, and timely replacement is essential to maintain delivery momentum, data quality and knowledge retention across this complex, multi‑squad program. You’ll bring deep expertise across data systems, data design, process optimisation and business analysis to ensure fit‑for‑purpose solutions that enable the strategic digital vision.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the analysis, documentation and management of complex requirements
• Performing end‑to‑end data analysis including modelling, mapping and validation
• Designing scalable data flows and supporting data architecture considerations
• Leading S2T mapping activities, including reconciliation logic and join conditions
• Developing dashboards, reporting insights and data visualisations
• Conducting process analysis and supporting process redesign
• Creating and executing test strategies for data and business processes
• Supporting change management, release management and configuration management
• Engaging stakeholders across business, engineering, architecture and program delivery
• Ensuring data security, quality and compliance standards are upheld
• Providing technical and analytical support across squads to resolve data issues

What you’ll need to succeed

You will bring strong technical capability, analytical depth and the ability to operate confidently in a fast‑paced, highly collaborative program environment.

• Tertiary qualifications in IT, Business or related field
• 6+ years in a data‑focused /technical business analyst role
• Strong data analysis, data modelling and BI/reporting experience
• Proven experience managing complex requirements end‑to‑end
• Experience in business process analysis and optimisation
• Strong understanding of system integration, testing practices and security
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience in fast‑paced delivery environments (Agile highly regarded)
• Insurance or financial services experience
• CCBA® certification (advantageous)

Ideal additional skills (highly beneficial):

• Databricks – including notebooks, delta tables, and feature pipelines
• Duck Creek – understanding of core insurance workflows and data structures
• AWS Redshift – data warehousing, modelling and optimisation
• Extensive Source‑to‑Target mapping experience – including field‑level mapping, transformation logic and join condition design
