Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Wagering Data Analytics and Segmentation, you will lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of pricing and decision models that drive performance across our Wagering Trading team. You will partner with traders, product and technology to turn ideas into measurable results.
- Lead advanced analytics that sharpen pricing and risk decisions across Trading.
- Shape and grow a high‑performing data science team with clear standards.
- Partner with traders and product teams to design, test and deploy models.
- Create robust, well‑documented pricing models for sport and racing events.
- Optimise model performance through monitoring, experimentation and continuous ongoing improvement.
- Champion ethical, purpose‑led use of data to enhance customer outcomes.
What you’ll need to succeed
You are a curious, hands‑on leader who balances scientific rigour with practical delivery. You bring commercial instincts, clear communication and the confidence to guide a team and influence partners across a complex environment.
- Experienced in building and deploying predictive and pricing models for sport or racing.
- Proven ability to lead, coach and grow data scientists and modellers.
- Strong programming capability in Python or Java and modern data practices.
- Ability to translate complex analysis into clear stories and decisions.
- Strong stakeholder skills across trading, product, technology and senior leaders.
- Proven capability to design model governance, documentation and testing disciplines.
