Senior Software Engineer/Lead Engineer

Job Description

The role involves integrating AI tools into core credit, risk, and transaction workflows, building scalable systems, defining technical roadmaps, and mentoring engineers to drive AI-enabled productivity.

Key Responsibilities :

– Architect, develop, and maintain backend and data systems for credit pipelines, risk engines, and transaction workflows.

– Integrate AI agents, LLMs, and prompt-based tooling to accelerate engineering delivery.

– Lead end-to-end delivery : problem framing, design, coding, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.

– Mentor engineers, enforce code quality, and foster technical ownership across the team.

– Collaborate with Product, Credit, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure regulatory-compliant solutions.

– Implement CI/CD pipelines, DevOps best practices, observability, and AI-driven automation.

Required Qualifications & Experience :

– B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent technical discipline.

– 3+ years of experience in backend or full-stack engineering; 4+ years in high-throughput or fintech systems.

– Proficiency in Golang (preferred), Python, Java, or Node.js.

– Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, OCI), SQL/NoSQL databases, event streaming, Kubernetes, serverless architectures, and data pipelines.

– Proven track record of delivering reliable, scalable, and secure production systems under tight deadlines.

– AI-first mindset with applied experience in LLMs, AI agents, or prompt engineering in real workflows.

Preferred Skills :

– Fintech/NBFC experience (credit, KYC/AML, compliance frameworks).

– Startup-ready : thrives in high-growth, ambiguous environments with strong ownership and bias for action.

– Strong communication, mentorship, and leadership abilities.
