Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Digital Support for quantity surveying and cost management teams:
  • Collaborate with quantity surveyors to ensure seamless integration of digital workflows into traditional practices.
  • Enhance and support cost planning, cost control, and value engineering processes using digital platforms.
  • Maintain and update databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for project teams.
  • Generate information rich reports and dashboards using data visualization tools.
• Data Management & Analysis:
  • Collect, organize, and analyse project data to provide actionable insights for cost management.
  • Develop and maintain digital templates, workflows, and automation scripts to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with company standards and protocols.
• Technology Implementation:
  • Provide training and technical support to team members on digital tools and processes.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance project delivery.
  • Support cross-functional teams in adopting digital practices and fostering a culture of innovation.

Qualifications

A degree or diploma in a relevant field such as Quantity Surveying, Digital Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics and the like.

Specific Skills Required:

• An understanding of common construction industry digital tools like BIM authoring and management software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, ACC, Solibri, Aconex), CostX, or similar platforms.
• Advanced skills in Python, SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI), and other relevant software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with programming and developing automation tools with Dynamo, Python, VBA or similar scripting languages.
• The ideal candidate would have experience working in teams to deliver complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Effective communicate, including speaking to groups and providing training sessions from time to time would be required.
• Well established organization and time management skills.
• Confident to engage and positively challenge with other team members across disciplines and of different seniorities.
• Be inclusive and supportive and contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
