Job Description

About the Role

We’re are seeking a skilled .NET Developer to join a small, experienced internal development team supporting business-critical web applications. The application is a legacy monolithic application, built in ASP.NET WebForms, that are used across departments for operational, reporting, and safety functions.

This role is frontend heavy (90%), focusing on maintaining, enhancing, and improving the user interface of legacy systems. The ideal individual should have strong experience with classic WebForms, C#, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This is not a modern Angular/React frontend role, so candidates who rely heavily on those frameworks are not suitable.

Candidates who have historically worked with WebForms but have since moved to MVC or Razor are also considered, provided they are comfortable returning to WebForms development.

The Team & Project

  • Maintain internal, business-critical web tools (not customer-facing).
  • Support engineering operations, safety reporting, and data management.
  • Applications built with ASP.NET WebForms, C#, and SQL Server.
  • Focus on front-end development and UI logic, while occasionally touching back-end integration.
  • Work environment is stable, structured, and enterprise-oriented, ideal for developers who enjoy dependable systems work.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update front-end code in ASP.NET WebForms.
  • Implement UI and design updates using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Collaborate with C# and SQL Server for data-driven features.
  • Debug and improve existing codebases for performance, stability, and maintainability.
  • Work closely with developers and internal stakeholders to deliver incremental improvements.
  • Ensure data consistency and usability across multiple internal systems.

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong experience in ASP.NET WebForms (core requirement).
  • Hands-on C# development experience.
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, building UI manually (no drag-and-drop).
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server for data integration and queries.
  • Experience maintaining enterprise or internal web applications.
