Senior Fullstack Developer

 Role Overview

We are looking for a highly senior Fullstack Developer to join a fast-paced project building new features on top of an existing, mature product.

This role requires strong technical ownership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a small, senior engineering team. You’ll be expected to ramp up quickly, understand an existing codebase, and deliver high-quality features end to end.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Developing new features for a production Shopify application used by high-profile customers
• Incrementally improving the frontend UI
• Optimising and extending Shopify API integrations
• Enhancing backend functionality using Ruby on Rails
• Integrating new functionality with existing platform features
• Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Collaborating with a small engineering team led by a senior in-house engineer
• Taking full ownership of assigned areas and delivering independently

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong, hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails
• Solid JavaScript background
• Familiarity with Ember.js
• Experience working with the Shopify API
• Proven ability to work on existing / legacy codebases
• High seniority in both technical execution and communication
• Comfortable working autonomously and making sound technical decisions
• Experience working in fast-paced product environments
