System Admin / Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

As part of a collaborative and forward-thinking IT and security team, you’ll contribute to identifying, analysing, and responding to cyber threats while helping improve our organisation’s overall security maturity. This role offers hands-on involvement across a broad range of technologies, with opportunities to develop your technical, analytical, and operational security skills.

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

• Monitoring and investigating security alerts from various systems and tools.
• Conducting proactive threat hunting and incident response activities.
• Assisting with ongoing security improvement projects and uplift programs.
• Supporting the creation and implementation of security policies, frameworks, and automation initiatives.
• System administrator duties including helping users.

About you

Whether you’re just starting your cybersecurity career or bring extensive experience to the table, we’re looking for someone with a genuine interest in digital security and a willingness to continuously learn in a hands-on environment.

You’ll ideally bring some of the following:

• Knowledge or experience in cybersecurity operations, SOC, or network/system administration.
• Familiarity with tools such as SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, or vulnerability management platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A commitment to staying informed about emerging threats and best practices.
• A tertiary qualification and or Certifications (such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or ISC2 SSCP, or similar) are beneficial but not essential.
• An understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST , CMMC, and Essential Eight
