Job Description

What you’ll be doing

  • Design and develop custom WordPress websites and themes that are visually appealing, responsive, and optimised for performance
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and translate them into functional, user-friendly web solutions
  • Implement advanced WordPress features and functionality, such as e-commerce, content management, and plugin integration
  • Ensure websites are secure, scalable, and adhere to industry best practices and web standards
  • Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and updates for client websites
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our web development processes and workflows
  • Assisting the network engineers with basic IT jobs when required
  • Answering incoming calls and ticket management

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in designing and developing high-quality WordPress websites and applications (portfolio required)
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of WordPress development experience required
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with responsive design principles and experience in creating mobile-friendly websites
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and address technical challenges
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work closely with clients and team members
  • A keen eye for design and user experience, with the ability to translate client requirements into visually appealing and functional web solutions
  • Basic knowledge of SEO principles and the ability to perform simple SEO audits
  • Good knowledge of DNS management: Updating DNS records, changing nameservers
  • Knowledge of e-mail and how SPF, DKIM, DMARC works
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and design aesthetics.
  • Australian work rights are required for this position

Desirable / Advantageous Skills

  • Qualification in Web Design, Multimedia, or a related field.
  • Deeper understanding of SEO and SEM (Search Engine Marketing).
  • Experience with Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and LinkedIn Marketing.
  • Familiarity with Google AnalyticsGoogle Search Console, and other SEO tools.
  • Basic knowledge of PHP or JavaScript for advanced WordPress customisation.
  • Understanding of web hosting environments, domain management, and website migration.
  • Knowledge of Divi-specific optimisation and custom module creation.
  • Basic Networking knowledge
