Job Description
We’re seeking a detail-obsessed, analytically-driven Webmaster to own the performance, security, and optimization of our web properties. You won’t just “keep the lights on”—you’ll build the infrastructure and workflows that turn our website into a high-converting digital platform. You’ll work cross-functionally with designers, marketers, and engineers to manage content deployment, ensure site integrity across devices, and enable experimentation at scale. Your fingerprints will be on everything from technical SEO to global site uptime, and you’ll play a strategic role in growing our digital presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and evolve the primary corporate website (WordPress and static assets) to ensure stability, performance, and scalability.
- Monitor and optimize Core Web Vitals and page speed across all devices and geographies.
- Implement tagging and tracking with Google Tag Manager; ensure data integrity across analytics platforms (GA4, Hotjar, HubSpot).
- Manage DNS, CDN (e.g., Cloudflare), SSL certificates, and hosting environments (e.g., Kinsta, Netlify).
- Coordinate with marketing teams on high-frequency content updates, campaigns, and product launches, ensuring consistent UX and branding.
- Run regular audits for broken links, orphaned pages, crawl errors, and accessibility issues (WCAG 2.1 compliance).
- Maintain version control (Git) for all major site changes; manage staging and production workflows.
- Lead the evaluation and implementation of CMS features, security patches, and third-party plugins or integrations.
- Establish uptime monitoring and incident response protocols in collaboration with DevOps.
- Provide actionable insights to marketing leadership through site performance dashboards and conversion data.
Qualifications
Required:
- 4+ years of experience managing enterprise-level websites, preferably with B2B or SaaS companies.
- Deep proficiency in WordPress and custom theme/plugin development; experience with headless CMS or Jamstack architecture is a plus.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles, schema markup, crawl budget, and SERP optimization strategies.
- Comfortable using browser developer tools and debugging front-end rendering issues (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Demonstrated experience optimizing for performance (LCP, TTI, CLS) and accessibility (WCAG 2.1, ARIA).
- Familiarity with DNS management, server-side caching, CDN setup, and domain migrations.
- Experience with analytics tools: GA4, Looker Studio, SEMrush/Ahrefs, and Hotjar or similar.
- Git proficiency and experience managing deployments with CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication skills—can translate technical constraints to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Experience integrating marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Pardot) with web forms and lead flows.
- Basic familiarity with API endpoints and headless CMS frameworks (e.g., Contentful, Sanity).
- Background in conversion rate optimization (CRO), A/B testing (e.g., VWO, Optimizely), or personalization.
- Exposure to GDPR, CCPA, and cookie consent management platforms.
