Job Description

We are seeking a Web Engineer who thrives at the intersection of front-end innovation and back-end robustness. This role demands a hands-on problem solver with deep expertise in building scalable, high-performance web applications. You will collaborate closely with design, product, and infrastructure teams to craft seamless user experiences and optimize platform efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain complex web applications with an emphasis on scalability, responsiveness, and security.
  • Architect and implement modular front-end components using modern frameworks like React, Vue, or Svelte, integrating them seamlessly with back-end APIs.
  • Design and optimize RESTful or GraphQL APIs to support dynamic user interactions and data flows.
  • Collaborate on infrastructure decisions that impact performance, such as caching strategies, CDN usage, and server-side rendering techniques.
  • Perform thorough code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to uphold high code quality and reliability.
  • Continuously monitor web application performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing effective solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging web technologies and best practices, evaluating their applicability to our platform.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of professional experience developing and deploying production-grade web applications.
  • Deep expertise with JavaScript and TypeScript, including ES6+ features and asynchronous programming patterns.
  • Proven mastery of at least one major front-end framework (React preferred) and state management libraries (Redux, MobX, or equivalent).
  • Solid understanding of back-end technologies: Node.js, Express, or equivalent environments. Experience with serverless architectures is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience designing and consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
  • Familiarity with web security principles and common vulnerabilities (XSS, CSRF, CORS, etc.) and their mitigation strategies.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Strong skills in debugging and performance tuning of web applications across browsers and devices.
  • Excellent communication skills to work across multidisciplinary teams and explain technical decisions clearly.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) and offline-first design patterns.
  • Familiarity with WebAssembly or emerging web standards.
  • Contributions to open source projects or personal projects demonstrating technical leadership.
