Web Developer – Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain the app’s front-end and back-end components.

• Compile and analyse data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.

• Collaborating with the front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience.

• Developing ideas for new programs, products, or features by monitoring industry developments and trends.

• Recording data and reporting it to proper parties, such as clients or leadership.

• Participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new programming languages, and better assist other team members.

• Taking lead on projects, as needed.

The successful candidate will need to satisfy the following Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

• At least one year of work experience in JavaScript and other programming languages.

• Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and tools.

• Focus on efficiency, user experience, and process improvement.

• Excellent project and time management skills.

• Strong problem solving and verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently or with a group.

• Willingness to sit at desk for extended periods.

• Strong experience with JavaScript.

• Development testing knowledge – Unit testing (Test-driven development).

• Strong experience with Database development using a relational database. (MySQL/PostgreSQL).

• Strong experience with Docker containerization.

• Experience with Cloud technologies such as Azure.

• Experience in WordPress App.

• Experience in Tomcat8 and Apache2.

• Strong experience with Git (GitHub).

• Experience with RESTful APIs and cloud-based microservices architecture.

• Experience with HTML 5, CSS frameworks, and NodeJS.

• Experience with ReactJS.

• Good experience in CI/CD with Jenkins or GitHub Action (option).

Salary range: $85,000 – $95,000, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skill set.
