Job Description
This role plays a key part in delivering a high-impact website refresh project by creating and populating new pages within Squiz Matrix CMS. Working closely with a supportive internal team, the contractor will ensure content is accurately implemented, accessible, and aligned with editorial standards. With flexible remote or onsite work options, and the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful digital transformation for a government organisation, this short-term contract is primarily focused on:
- Creating and populating new web pages within Squiz Matrix, using pre-existing templates and structures.
- Uploading and formatting provided content (text, images, documents).
- Applying metadata, tags, and internal linking as per provided guidelines.
- Ensuring basic accessibility, formatting consistency, and content integrity.
- Collaborating with internal team members for quality assurance and page approvals.
- Flagging any content gaps or structural issues encountered during entry.
Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience using Squiz Matrix (junior to intermediate level).
- Comfortable working with structured content and WYSIWYG editors.
- Strong attention to detail and content formatting.
- Basic understanding of metadata, content hierarchies, and accessibility considerations.
- Ability to follow content plans and editorial guidelines.
- Reliable, self-managed, and able to work to deadlines
Desirable
- Experience working on government or large-scale websites.
- Knowledge of Funnelback
- Familiarity with content migration or large publishing projects.
- Understanding of WCAG accessibility principles.
