Position Summary:
We’re seeking a Web Content Manager who can strategically shape our digital narrative and ensure that every page, article, and call-to-action aligns with both user intent and business outcomes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on balancing content performance metrics with editorial standards, and who understands how to build scalable content frameworks across a rapidly evolving web presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the full lifecycle of web content across multiple domains, ensuring brand consistency, usability, and accessibility.
- Lead content audits and map content to user journeys, identifying gaps, redundancies, and opportunities for growth.
- Develop and enforce SEO-informed content guidelines and ensure metadata, structured data, and on-page copy follow best practices.
- Collaborate with UX, product marketing, and development teams to translate campaign objectives into modular, optimized web assets.
- Manage and mentor a small team of content editors and freelance writers, providing editorial direction and performance feedback.
- Implement A/B testing for high-impact pages to improve conversion and engagement metrics, interpreting results to inform future strategy.
- Monitor and report on content KPIs (organic traffic, bounce rates, conversion paths, time-on-page) using GA4, Looker Studio, and other analytics tools.
- Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all web content meets regulatory standards, particularly for content in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare).
- Lead CMS migration or optimization projects, working directly with developers to enhance authoring workflows and component flexibility.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise-level websites with multi-regional or multilingual content.
- Demonstrated ability to balance editorial quality with SEO, UX, and business goals—examples will be requested.
- Mastery of at least one enterprise CMS (e.g., Sitecore, AEM, Contentful); ability to troubleshoot and suggest workflow improvements.
- Strong understanding of content taxonomy, structured data, and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA or higher).
- Adept at using web analytics and heatmap tools (GA4, Hotjar, Crazy Egg) to inform decisions and reporting.
- Experience working in Agile environments, including writing tickets, grooming backlogs, and participating in sprint reviews.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a background in editorial review, content governance, and tone/voice enforcement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Communications, Information Architecture, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of front-end development basics (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and how they affect content rendering and performance.
- Experience with schema markup implementation and tools like SEMrush, Screaming Frog, or ContentKing.
- Familiarity with B2B SaaS or regulated industries, especially where web content plays a central role in lead gen or customer education.
