Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in shaping web narratives that balance SEO strategy with authentic, audience-first storytelling—beyond keyword stuffing, you know how to weave intent-driven content that drives engagement and trust.
  • Mastery in diverse content formats, from long-form articles and interactive guides to microcopy and multimedia captions, with a sharp eye for adapting tone and style to fit both brand voice and platform demands.
  • Deep understanding of content lifecycle management: you don’t just edit—you optimize for user flow, conversion potential, and ongoing performance monitoring using analytics tools like Google Analytics, Hotjar, or similar.
  • Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams including UX designers, developers, and marketers to ensure content consistency, accessibility standards (WCAG), and seamless integration across digital touchpoints.
  • Detail-obsessed editor with the ability to catch subtle factual inaccuracies, tone inconsistencies, and SEO pitfalls, while respecting deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms beyond WordPress—experience working with headless CMS, content APIs, or emerging publishing tools is a strong plus.
  • Adept at managing multiple projects in parallel, prioritizing based on business goals and user impact, and providing clear feedback and editorial guidance to writers and contributors.
  • Passion for emerging digital content trends, algorithm updates, and user behavior shifts—your curiosity drives continuous content evolution and innovation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills paired with the ability to adapt content strategy based on A/B testing results, search ranking fluctuations, and user engagement metrics.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a knack for explaining editorial decisions and content strategies to non-editors in a way that drives alignment and action.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, or a closely related field. Equivalent practical experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience specifically in web content editing or digital content strategy, preferably in a tech-savvy or fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz, and comfortable interpreting data to inform editorial decisions.
  • Hands-on experience with analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Hotjar, or similar) to assess content performance and user engagement.
  • Familiarity with content management systems beyond basic WordPress (e.g., Contentful, Strapi, or similar headless CMS).
  • Strong command of AP Style, grammar, and digital writing best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments, balancing creative input with strategic priorities.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills and an ability to thrive under shifting deadlines and priorities.
