Job Description

About the Role

We’re looking for a Web Analyst who doesn’t just report on metrics, but explains why something happened and what to do next. This role is ideal for someone who understands that bounce rate means nothing without context and that data is only useful when it informs decisions. You’ll work alongside our UX, marketing, and engineering teams to drive measurable improvements to our digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, segment, and interpret behavior across web and mobile platforms using GA4, heatmaps, session replays, and funnel analysis.
  • Build and own custom dashboards in Looker Studio or Tableau with input from product stakeholders—no “data for data’s sake.”
  • Diagnose drop-offs in key conversion funnels using enhanced ecommerce tracking and event-level data.
  • Actively tag events using Google Tag Manager—writing your own JavaScript variables when necessary.
  • Translate business questions (e.g., “Why is sign-up completion down 18%?”) into analytical frameworks and present findings with clear recommendations.
  • Run A/B test analyses—identify statistical significance and practical impact—and suggest next hypotheses.
  • Audit and QA analytics implementation across digital properties to ensure accurate, consistent data collection.
  • Collaborate with SEO and content leads to evaluate organic behavior and optimize landing paths, not just pageviews.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–5 years of web analytics experience in a product, e-commerce, or performance marketing environment.
  • Expert in GA4, Google Tag Manager (including custom events, variables, and dataLayer usage), and BigQuery.
  • Familiarity with CRO tools like Hotjar, FullStory, or VWO, and experience integrating behavioral insights with quantitative data.
  • Ability to write and interpret SQL queries for data extraction and validation.
  • Strong storytelling skills—can communicate complex behavior patterns to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working across teams: you’ll sit in on UX reviews, contribute to roadmap prioritization, and challenge assumptions using data.
