Job Description
Overview:
We’re seeking a detail-obsessed Web Analyst to own the full lifecycle of our web analytics strategy—tracking architecture, performance measurement, experimentation design, and insights delivery. This role will work closely with product, marketing, and engineering teams to drive measurable improvements in user behavior across our website and conversion funnels.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and maintain web tracking frameworks using Google Tag Manager and server-side tagging where applicable
- Audit, clean, and align data collection methods across platforms (GA4, Amplitude, Segment, etc.) to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Design and monitor A/B tests and personalization experiments using tools such as Optimizely or VWO, ensuring statistical validity
- Develop dashboards and self-serve tools in Looker or Tableau for stakeholders in marketing, growth, and UX research
- Conduct deep-dive behavioral analysis (e.g., funnel drop-off, clickstream analysis) to uncover blockers and opportunities
- Present actionable insights with clear business impact to cross-functional teams on a weekly basis
- Partner with SEO and content teams to assess performance of organic strategies and surface new optimization opportunities
- Assist engineering and product teams with implementation QA and data layer specifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of focused experience in web analytics or product analytics with measurable business outcomes
- Expert-level proficiency in GA4, Google Tag Manager, and one experimentation platform (e.g., Optimizely, VWO, or Adobe Target)
- Hands-on SQL experience; must be able to query raw event data for investigative analysis
- Strong knowledge of client-side and server-side tagging practices, including use of custom JavaScript and data layers
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex analytical findings in a way that influences decision-making
- Experience integrating data from multiple sources (web, CRM, campaign tools) and validating data integrity
- Familiarity with privacy regulations affecting digital analytics (GDPR, CCPA) and how to adapt implementation accordingly
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with BigQuery or Snowflake for large-scale event data exploration
- Background in e-commerce, SaaS, or consumer marketplaces with rapid experimentation cycles
- Comfortable collaborating with developers on schema definitions and front-end instrumentation
- Experience building predictive models or segmentation frameworks is a plus
