Job Description
Summary:
We’re looking for a Web Analyst who goes beyond surface-level metrics to deeply understand user behavior across digital platforms. This role demands a mix of advanced technical skills, data storytelling, and collaboration to drive actionable insights that directly impact product development and marketing strategies. If you’re passionate about turning complex data into clear business value and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you.
Job Requirements:
- Deep expertise in user behavior analysis: Proven experience dissecting complex user journeys across multiple digital touchpoints (desktop, mobile, apps) to uncover subtle friction points and hidden opportunities for conversion improvement.
- Advanced proficiency in web analytics tools beyond basics: Mastery of platforms such as Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Adobe Analytics, and Hotjar, including configuring custom events, building advanced segments, and setting up multi-channel attribution models.
- Data storytelling skills: Ability to translate raw data into clear, actionable narratives tailored for diverse audiences—from product teams and marketers to executives—using dashboards, presentations, and written reports.
- SQL and data manipulation expertise: Comfortable querying large datasets directly from databases to validate analytics data, troubleshoot discrepancies, and perform cohort or funnel analyses not achievable through standard analytics tools.
- A/B and multivariate testing experience: Hands-on involvement in designing, monitoring, and interpreting sophisticated experiments that measure the impact of UX/UI changes, personalization efforts, or new feature rollouts on user engagement and revenue.
- Cross-functional collaboration mindset: Track record of working closely with UX designers, developers, marketers, and product managers to ensure data-driven decision-making informs roadmap prioritization and marketing strategy.
- Understanding of SEO and digital marketing fundamentals: Ability to analyze organic and paid traffic trends, identify anomalies, and suggest optimizations rooted in data insights.
- Automation and scripting skills: Experience automating repetitive reporting tasks or data extractions using Python, R, or JavaScript within analytics environments.
- Keen attention to data governance: Familiarity with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and implementing tagging strategies that balance data collection needs with compliance and user trust.
- Curiosity and continuous learning: Passion for staying updated on emerging analytics technologies, web measurement standards, and evolving user behaviors, applying new knowledge to enhance analytic frameworks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Marketing Analytics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred but not mandatory if experience is substantial.
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in web analytics or digital data analysis, ideally in e-commerce, SaaS, or tech-driven industries.
- Proven track record of leading analytics projects that directly contributed to measurable business growth or product improvements.
- Strong technical foundation including fluency in SQL and familiarity with at least one scripting language (Python, R, or JavaScript).
- Certified Google Analytics professional or equivalent certification highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to explain complex concepts clearly and persuasively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on data accuracy, validation, and governance.
