We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Web Administrator to manage and maintain our website infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in web development, server management, and security protocols, along with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. This role involves the continuous monitoring, updating, and optimizing of our online platforms to ensure smooth user experience and performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain web server infrastructure, including configuration, monitoring, and optimization.
  • Ensure website security by applying best practices, performing regular audits, and implementing proactive measures.
  • Implement and monitor backup systems and disaster recovery processes to ensure uptime and data integrity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to web performance, server downtime, and errors.
  • Collaborate with content management teams to ensure timely updates and adherence to website standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of web technologies and ensure that the site stays current with industry trends and security updates.
  • Monitor website traffic and performance using analytics tools and provide actionable insights to improve user experience.
  • Work with developers to troubleshoot and implement new features or updates to the website.
  • Ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility for the site.
  • Provide documentation and training for team members related to the web infrastructure.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of 3-5 years in web administration or related technical roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix-based systems (experience with Apache, Nginx, or similar web servers).
  • Experience with database management systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and troubleshooting performance issues.
  • Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and experience with content management systems (WordPress, Drupal, etc.).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and managing web hosting environments.
  • Strong understanding of website security protocols, including SSL, firewalls, and protection against common vulnerabilities (SQL injection, XSS).
  • Familiarity with web performance optimization techniques (caching, image compression, lazy loading, etc.).
  • Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
