Job Description
We’re looking for a UX/UI Designer who thrives in complexity and has a sharp eye for interaction logic, microinteractions, and interface clarity. This is not a “make it pretty” role—we need someone who understands how to translate messy workflows, dense data, and varied user personas into clean, intuitive interfaces. You’ll collaborate with PMs, engineers, and end-users to shape tools that are actually usable—whether that means crafting a custom data grid or designing around accessibility constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Map and document complex user journeys involving nested permissions, conditional flows, and data interactions.
- Design and maintain a system of modular UI components built on our internal design system (or evolve it when necessary).
- Own the UX for new features from whiteboard to Figma to dev handoff, with check-ins post-launch.
- Conduct user research when needed—scrappy methods encouraged, especially in early-stage validation.
- Proactively surface UX debt and prioritize improvements with product and engineering leads.
- Collaborate with front-end engineers to ensure design fidelity in implementation, including reviewing staging builds and QAing interactions.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience designing complex SaaS tools or internal systems—consumer app experience alone won’t be a match.
- Proven ability to simplify multi-step, data-rich workflows without oversimplifying.
- Strong proficiency with Figma (components, variants, prototyping) and experience working within or maintaining a design system.
- Deep understanding of interaction design principles and responsive layout behavior across viewports.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and progressively refining structure, especially in products still searching for UX stability.
- Portfolio showing 2–3 examples of problem-solving at the workflow level, not just UI polish.
Nice to Have
- Experience working closely with data teams or in products involving dashboards, queries, or visualizations.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and ability to design with inclusivity in mind.
