Job Description

About the Role

We’re seeking a UX Researcher with a demonstrated ability to uncover behavioral insights that directly inform product decisions. This role is embedded within a cross-functional team and focuses on early-stage product exploration, in-depth usability diagnostics, and long-term behavioral pattern tracking. You should be fluent in both qualitative and quantitative methods, and capable of translating complex findings into clear, actionable guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and lead multi-method research studies (e.g., moderated usability testing, diary studies, conjoint analysis, fieldwork) with clear hypotheses and measurable outcomes.
  • Frame research plans that address specific business or design questions — not just exploratory research for its own sake.
  • Synthesize raw data into concise, pattern-driven insights that directly influence product direction, rather than general observations or vague recommendations.
  • Collaborate tightly with product managers, designers, and data analysts to ensure research is integrated from concept through iteration.
  • Establish behavioral baselines and track longitudinal user behaviors post-launch to evaluate feature success and guide iteration cycles.
  • Build and maintain participant panels and niche user cohorts, especially for B2B or specialized vertical audiences.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of UX research experience in a product-focused company; experience must include both generative and evaluative research.
  • Proven expertise in at least three distinct research methods beyond basic usability testing (e.g., card sorting with IA analysis, ethnographic shadowing, JTBD interviews, survey design with segmentation analysis).
  • Strong portfolio or case studies demonstrating direct impact on product decisions, especially where research altered a roadmap or reshaped a feature.
  • Fluency in structuring unmoderated research via tools such as Maze, Lookback, dscout, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to run lean research within agile cycles without sacrificing rigor or clarity.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a closely related field.
