Job Description

About the Role
We’re looking for a UX Researcher who’s not content with surface-level insights. You’ll help our product teams make confident, evidence-backed decisions by digging into real user behavior — not just asking what users say they want. If you’re skilled at reframing vague problem statements into sharp research questions and can translate patterns in raw observation into design-ready recommendations, this is for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with product managers, designers, and data scientists to define what we need to learn — and why it matters
  • Design mixed-methods research studies to explore early-stage concepts and improve current features, prioritizing depth over quantity
  • Own the participant recruitment process — not just writing screeners, but collaborating with ops to target edge cases and power users
  • Run moderated sessions (remote and in-person) that go beyond the script, spotting unspoken tensions and habits
  • Use diary studies, usability tests, ethnographic methods, and behavioral metrics as needed — and justify your method choices clearly
  • Analyze results with an eye for actionable takeaways, not academic observations
  • Lead post-research readouts that drive discussion and decisions, not just slide decks
  • Maintain and evolve our internal research repository to reduce duplicated efforts and improve knowledge sharing

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–6 years of UX research experience in a product-focused environment (B2B or complex consumer flows a plus)
  • Strong instincts for when to go scrappy and when rigor matters
  • You can challenge design or product assumptions without being adversarial — your goal is clarity, not control
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shaping research roadmaps proactively
  • Experience with unmoderated tools (e.g., Maze, UserTesting) and survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, Typeform)
  • Ability to turn a live usability session into insights while it’s still unfolding
  • Bonus: Background in cognitive psychology, behavioral science, or service design
