Job Description

We’re looking for a UX Designer who thrives on digging into complex systems and distilling them into intuitive, user-centric experiences. This role isn’t about polishing interfaces — it’s about deeply understanding real user behavior, business constraints, and legacy architecture, then designing experiences that reduce cognitive friction and improve task efficiency. You’ll be working on a next-generation enterprise SaaS platform used by technical professionals who depend on accuracy and speed — any delay or confusion in the interface has real consequences.

You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, systems engineers, and QA analysts, and you’ll need to advocate for users without losing sight of technical feasibility and regulatory compliance. This is a fit for someone who is energized by difficult workflows, edge-case scenarios, and designing solutions that balance flexibility with guardrails.

Responsibilities

  • Map and analyze existing workflows for power users in a data-intensive environment, identifying pain points and high-friction tasks.
  • Design end-to-end UX solutions — from IA and wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes — for multi-step, multi-role workflows.
  • Conduct moderated usability testing with domain-specific users and translate findings into actionable design changes.
  • Partner with front-end developers to ensure pixel-accurate implementation and uphold UX principles across components.
  • Collaborate with compliance teams to align designs with regulatory standards (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, or industry-specific equivalents).
  • Maintain and evolve an internal UX documentation system that tracks rationale, rejected paths, and design debt.

Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • 3–5 years of experience designing for enterprise platforms or technical user tools (e.g., developer tools, logistics dashboards, or scientific applications).
  • Proven track record of simplifying dense, high-complexity workflows (case studies required).
  • Strong interaction design skills with evidence of IA thinking, not just UI polish.
  • Experience creating documentation for dev handoff beyond the visuals (UX logic, conditional states, fallback behaviors).
  • Working knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and how they apply to real-world interactions.
  • Comfortable working in environments where system limitations (legacy APIs, data latency, multi-tenant architecture) affect what’s possible.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Prior experience working within regulated industries (healthcare, fintech, govtech).
  • Familiarity with designing for progressive disclosure, advanced filtering, or rule-based automation systems.
  • Hands-on with tools like Figma, Axure, Miro, and Storybook — not just for visuals, but for prototyping logic and interaction states.
