Job Description

We are excited to welcome an experienced and motivated Technical Project Team Leader to our team. This full-time role will be primarily office-based with hybrid options where you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering internal and external projects from initiation through to completion. The role requires a proactive and structured approach to project management, ensuring seamless execution in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external clients with prompt, clear, and solution-focused communication.

The ideal candidate will have MSP experience and be comfortable working across a range of IT environments, possess a working knowledge of service delivery frameworks (particularly ITIL), and be capable of understanding and engaging in the technical aspects of solution implementation.

Reporting directly to the Head of Integration, the Technical Projects Lead will collaborate with Team Leaders, Engineers, Sales, and Accounts/Admin team members to ensure the successful delivery of both customer support services and technical projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all assigned projects according to CT Group’s Project Management Standards and Internal Projects Desk Guide, ensuring ultimate responsibility for the delivery of projects
  • Develop project plans, including identification of risks and acceptable mitigation strategies
  • Schedule and chair project meetings as needed, noting agreements, issues and task assignments
  • Provide weekly project status report to CT Group management, staff & client
  • Accurately manage and communicate project scope/cost deviation & raise accordingly with CT Group management prior to client stake-holders
  • Scheduling internal resources to ensure they are maintaining efficiency and are effectively utilizing their time and skillset
  • Assistance on project scoping and project deliverables including costings and road mapping
  • Maintenance of current key systems to create a robust and reliable environment and contribute to the CT Group continuous service improvement initiatives
  • Provide mentoring and support where required to other  project delivery staff to enable professional development and a co-operative working environment
  • Weekend and/or after-hours work may be required

Skills and experience

  • 3 years experience in managing projects and a solid technical background is essential for this position
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced MSP environment
  • Outstanding organizational skills; including an exceptional client focus and capacity to manage relationships with tact and diplomacy
  • Excellent understanding of core technologies such as Windows OS, VOIP, MS 365 Suite, VMWare, Security Best Practices
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Highly customer service focused
