Role Summary:
We are seeking a data-driven, technically adept Senior Web Analyst to take ownership of our web performance insights, analytics architecture, and experimentation frameworks. This role requires advanced skills in tag management, data layer design, and cross-platform behavioral analytics, with a focus on generating actionable insights that drive strategic decisions across marketing, product, and UX teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and maintain robust digital analytics implementations using Google Tag Manager (GTM), Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and BigQuery.
- Own the analytics measurement strategy: define KPIs, tracking requirements, and data layer specifications aligned with stakeholder goals.
- Design and execute web and app funnel analyses to identify conversion blockers, content performance trends, and product drop-offs.
- Lead A/B and multivariate testing strategies using platforms like Optimizely, Adobe Target, or Google Optimize (or equivalent), including test design, implementation, QA, and analysis.
- Develop user segmentation models for behavioral targeting and personalization.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to integrate analytics across SPA frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) and headless CMS environments.
- Automate dashboards and reports in Looker Studio, Tableau, or Power BI using SQL and connectors from GA4, BigQuery, and other data sources.
- Perform deep-dive investigations using advanced statistical techniques to answer specific business questions.
- Maintain strict governance and data integrity standards for analytics infrastructure.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of direct experience in digital/web analytics, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
- Expert-level proficiency in GA4, BigQuery, and GTM, including custom event tracking, cross-domain tracking, and enhanced eCommerce.
- Solid experience in SQL (esp. Google BigQuery) for cohort analysis, funnel breakdowns, and data stitching.
- Demonstrated experience with event-driven architecture in Single Page Applications (SPAs).
- Hands-on experience in A/B testing tools and experimentation strategy, including significance calculations and test validity assessments.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript as it applies to front-end tracking and debugging.
- Working knowledge of privacy and data compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) in digital analytics implementations.
- Familiarity with customer data platforms (e.g., Segment, Tealium) is a strong plus.
- Experience with marketing attribution modeling and multi-touch analysis.
