About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for full time Software Developer (Security) to our team . You will play a key role in building secure, scalable and innovative technology for the future of advice. You will work across the full tech stack, helping design, develop and secure Midwinter’s AdviceOS and Digital Advice products. Working alongside fellow Developers, Business Analysts and Technical Consultants to develop high quality solutions to meet business requirements using a range of technologies.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with development teams to embed secure coding practices and raise security awareness.
- Participate in solution design, code reviews, and provide security recommendations.
- Carry out penetration testing for web applications.
- Develop and maintain secure, efficient, and high-quality code that meets requirement’s using:
- Backend: C#, Web API, SQL Server, Entity Framework
- Frontend: Angular, Typescript, Breeze.js, HTML, CSS
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects and issues.
- Contribute to technical standards, documentation, and process improvements.
- Play an active role in minimising the risk of cyber-attack.
- Provide technical support to clients as required.
Unleash your potential
To be successful in this role, your background and experience will include:
- Must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- 2–3 years experience in web application security engineering.
- Strong understanding of secure software development practices.
- Hands on experience with penetration testing.
- Ability to explain security findings and their risks to both technical and non-technical people
- Experience with front end and back end development:
- C#, ASP.NET, Web API, Entity Framework, SQL, Angular, JavaScript, Typescript, HTML5, CSS
- Cloud experience, Breeze, T4 Template and Restful Webservices would be nice to have
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently when required.
- Having a recognised certifications (OSCP, OSWE, CSSLP) would be an advantage.
