Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Analyst to join our QA team, working closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure the reliability and performance of our product across various platforms. This role goes beyond checking boxes—you’re expected to think critically, challenge assumptions, and spot failure points before they happen. You’ll be responsible for designing test cases, automating regression scenarios, analyzing logs, and proactively identifying system-level risks. This role will involve testing backend services, APIs, and web/mobile interfaces in complex, data-driven environments.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze product requirements and technical specifications to identify gaps, edge cases, and potential failure points
  • Design comprehensive test plans with an emphasis on edge-case scenarios, asynchronous behavior, and data integrity
  • Execute manual and automated testing across web, mobile, and backend systems
  • Write and maintain end-to-end automated test scripts using tools like Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks
  • Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or REST-assured, including response validation and load simulation
  • Participate in sprint planning and backlog grooming sessions to advocate for testability and quality standards
  • Proactively log detailed, reproducible bugs and support developers with diagnostic logs and minimal reproduction steps
  • Monitor application logs, metrics, and alerting tools (e.g., Sentry, DataDog) for early signs of regressions or performance issues
  • Contribute to building and maintaining CI/CD test pipelines
  • Mentor junior QA team members in test design and automation practices

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a QA Analyst or Software Tester in agile environments
  • Proficiency in designing and executing tests for web-based and API-driven applications
  • Strong knowledge of testing RESTful APIs, HTTP status codes, request/response headers, and JSON/XML payloads
  • Experience with JavaScript, Python, or Java for test automation
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
  • Familiarity with SQL for validating data at the database level
  • Comfortable using developer tools (e.g., browser DevTools, curl, logging utilities) to isolate issues
  • Exposure to performance or load testing tools like JMeter or k6 is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially when articulating bugs and test coverage gaps

Preferred

  • Experience working in a domain involving data analytics, financial systems, or multi-tenant platforms
  • Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and version control systems (Git)
  • ISTQB or similar QA certifications are a plus but not required
