Quality Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Quality Analyst to join our team, someone who doesn’t just test software but challenges assumptions, identifies subtle defects, and ensures every product release exceeds user expectations. You will play a critical role in shaping our quality assurance strategy by designing innovative test cases, collaborating deeply with developers and product managers, and continuously improving testing processes. Your sharp analytical skills will help uncover hidden issues before they reach customers, contributing directly to our reputation for delivering reliable, high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and cases that cover edge scenarios often missed by traditional QA.
• Perform exploratory testing to identify unpredictable bugs and usability concerns.
• Analyze product requirements and design documents to uncover inconsistencies or gaps that could impact quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define acceptance criteria and ensure alignment on quality standards.
• Automate repetitive test cases where feasible but maintain hands-on manual testing for complex workflows.
• Track, document, and prioritize defects with clear reproduction steps and potential impact assessments.
• Participate actively in sprint planning and retrospectives to advocate for quality-driven development practices.
• Continuously evaluate and suggest improvements to testing methodologies and tools to increase efficiency and coverage.
• Mentor junior QA team members and foster a culture of quality ownership across the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Quality Analyst or Software Tester in fast-paced Agile environments.
• Proven ability to design detailed test scenarios that go beyond the obvious use cases.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, defect lifecycle, and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
• Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing approaches; experience with Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks preferred.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with an eye for subtle inconsistencies and patterns.
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with continuous integration pipelines and how QA fits into DevOps workflows.
• Experience testing web and mobile applications, APIs, and backend services is a plus.
• Passion for quality with a mindset of continuous learning and process improvement.
