Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking multiple skilled backend engineers to develop and maintain high-quality backend code for web applications using Node.js and TypeScript. You will collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic, optimize applications for speed and scalability, and implement security and data protection measures. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining greenfield backend services and APIs
  • Troubleshooting, testing, and maintaining core product software
  • Collaborating with the development team to design and launch new features
  • Ensuring code integrity and organization, and iteratively improving the codebase

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in software development
  • Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs and backend services
  • Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and third-party API integration
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and libraries like pg
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in English, both verbal and written
  • Experience implementing security best practices, authentication systems, and data encryption
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks and API testing tools

Nice to Have

  • Experience with modern front-end frameworks like Nuxt.js and Vue.js
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience with Message driven systems
  • 3+ Years of backend experience with Node.js and TypeScript
