The role
Your role:
As a Market Intelligence Data Analyst, you will:
- Develop and apply innovative data methods to collect, manage, analyse, and communicate insights from multiple market data sources.
- Conduct quantitative analysis, thematic reviews, and create data-driven models to monitor market integrity, participant behaviour, and financial products.
- Prepare clear and concise reports, briefings, dashboards, and data visualisations to support regulatory understanding and decision-making.
- Support analytics projects by designing and advising on data collection, cleansing, and exploration processes.
- Engage with key stakeholders, providing timely and accurate data insights, and contribute to the continuous enhancement of market intelligence capabilities.
About you
You hold relevant tertiary qualifications in a quantitative discipline such as finance, statistics, mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering, or actuarial studies. You bring strong statistical and programming skills, with experience in analytical roles within corporate, consulting, government, or academic environments. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R is highly desirable, with additional knowledge of KDB+ and Q considered a strong advantage.
You have experience working with large, complex datasets from diverse market vendors and proprietary sources, and can efficiently collate, process, and analyse data to extract meaningful insights. You are adept at applying diverse technologies and analytical techniques to distil complex data into actionable regulatory intelligence.
