Lead Data Scientist

The successful candidate will design and develop AI-driven applications, working closely with subject-matter experts and technical teams. Accountabilities

• Leverage skills across various computing platforms and languages to solve business problems.
• Prototype, build, and maintain AI tools and workflows using models in Python.
• Iterate on workflows based on feedback and support overall deployment.
• Stay updated with emerging data-science tools and AI best practices.
• Support access and analysis of large datasets, ensuring data quality.
• Create visualizations and perform analyses to derive actionable insights.
• Present findings tailored to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Work autonomously and seek guidance for complex tasks.
• Effectively communicate results to clients and team members.
• Translate client needs into formal requirements.
  

Requirements

• Associate’s degree with three years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with one year.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Familiarity with analytic software (R, Databricks), Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), and big-data technologies (Spark).
• Basic understanding of Cloud concepts and proficiency using APIs.
• Knowledge of AI concepts relevant to data applications.
• Ability to work independently on general job tasks.
• Competence in applying various data-analytics approaches.
• Must meet eligibility requirements for a Level 5 Position of Public Trust.
