IT Manager
Job Description
We are looking for a talented and passionate Information Technology Manager to join our growing national company. The role ensures the Information Technology Team support United in achieving its strategic objectives. IT services include technology, telephony, and communications solutions. The role must ensure that United’s IT systems are fit for purpose and fully integrated where commercially feasible. This role also has accountability for hardware and software procurement, help desk administration and cyber security.
About the Role
- Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure
- Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes
- Responsible for IT procurement strategy and projects.
- Monitors, manages, and reports on BAU deliverables and project progress against schedule and budget.
- Minimizes exposure to risk by implementing a comprehensive risk and issue identification and management framework.
- Managing multiple third-party vendors to deliver projects on time and on budget.
- Manage the ongoing integration of current IT platforms and migration to Cloud based where applicable
- Management and oversight of the Group’s Point of Sale technology, Website and Social Media platforms
- Analyse business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs
- Monitor systems for security gaps, design effective solutions, minimise phishing threats and provide reports on cyber security to executive staff.
- Staff communications to minimise risks posed by cyber threats
- Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT, including management of help desk staff
- Elements of Service Desk support for the Head Office team
About you
· Minimum of 7 years’ experience delivering ICT Projects, Retail, and Application Development projects.
· Excellent knowledge of SQL Database administration using PowerShell and Firebird
· Experience with Netskope Cloud Security, Sentinel One or similar
· Experience with Azure Server environments
- Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies
- Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritise
- Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices
- Strong leadership, negotiation and influencing skills
- Well-developed interpersonal and relationship management skills
